چکیده

Most research on system identification is focused on the identification of parametric models, for example a transfer function or a state space model where the information is condensed in a few parameters. In the daily practice, nonparametric methods, like frequency response function measurements, are intensively used. Recently, it was indicated that nonparametric identification methods could be used to robustify the parametric identification framework. A nonparametric preprocessing step can also be used to reduce or even eliminate the required user interaction, making system identification accessible for a much wider user group. For that reason, there is an increasing interest in nonparametric identification. In order to choose, compare, and to benchmark these nonparametric methods, it is very important to select the proper criteria. In this paper we identify and discuss the important choices that should be considered. It will be shown that these strongly depend on the intended use of the nonparametric model.

An Efficient Algorithm for Data Cleaning of Web Logs with Spider Navigation Removal

The World Wide Web is growing massively larger with the exponential growth of websites providing the user with heaps of information. Text files called as web logs are used to store the clicks of a user whenever a user visits a website. Web usage mining is a stream of web mining that involves the applications of mining techniques to be applied on the server logs containing the user clickstreams....

Context-Aware Recommender Systems: A Review of the Structure Research

Recommender systems are a branch of retrieval systems and information matching, which through identifying the interests and requires of the user, help the users achieve the desired information or service through a massive selection of choices. In recent years, the recommender systems apply describing information in the terms of the user, such as location, time, and task, in order to produce re...

Optimizing preprocessing and analysis pipelines for single-subject fMRI. I. Standard temporal motion and physiological noise correction methods.

Subject-specific artifacts caused by head motion and physiological noise are major confounds in BOLD fMRI analyses. However, there is little consensus on the optimal choice of data preprocessing steps to minimize these effects. To evaluate the effects of various preprocessing strategies, we present a framework which comprises a combination of (1) nonparametric testing including reproducibility ...
